Gestational Diabetes
We offer screening for gestational diabetes at 28 weeks. The Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT) is performed as a blood draw one hour after drinking a glucose solution. The test checks how your body metabolizes sugar.
Noninvasive Prenatal Testing
We offer NIPT in early pregnancy. This can be done in-office or ordered through the Elliot Hospital Maternal Fetal Medicine unit.
Group B Streptococcus (GBS)
We offer testing for GBS at 36 weeks. GBS is a type of bacteria normally found in the female urogenital tract. Elevated levels of GBS have been linked to a higher risk of a rare but serious infection in newborns.
Group B Strep in Pregnancy - Evidence for Antibiotics & Alternatives
We recommend taking Vital Flora’s Probiotic for Women at around 30-33 weeks to support your vaginal flora. It's available at Granite State Naturals.

Ultrasound
We recommend ultrasound when medically indicated. Common reasons for ultrasound include dating, confirming viability, if you get to 41 weeks, or if there is concern about your baby’s growth.
Every client is offered a survey of the baby’s anatomy between 18-20 weeks. Should you choose to have an ultrasound done we can order it at a location that is most convenient to you.
